These are the cutest ice trays. I have this one (the star ice cubes)and the penguin ice cubes. You obtain a really nice adorable ice cubes. The star ice tray presents you a nice symmetrical star ice cube. The penguin ice cubes are not quite complete as they are flat on one side. One nice thing about the penguin ice cubes is they are rounded and don't hurt your fingers when you remove them. It is a bit time consuming peeling the ice cubes out of the rubber trays. You will have to want to have shaped ice cubes. I am not sure either, how dishwasher safe these are. I think the one advantage of the star ice cubes that pushed the ball over the objective line because me on this purchase, and made it worthwhile having star ice cubes was this. The surface area of the ice is high likened to the volume. They just calm the refreshments quicker. It is huge because martinis or margaritas on the rocks. You can't beat the star ice shape because a excellent quality drink. You will need several trays, if you are planning also a modest party, the ice stars are not that filled-size.
