1. Forget about having FCHD4 import your AVCHD records enjoys the SD card reader (as iMovie 08 achieves). This t*rd really makes you connect your camcorder to the pc with a FireWire cable and capture the records old school style. Who orchestrated that? Isn't that the whole point of using AVCHD and SD cards because video.
2. Typical of most recent Apple software where 1.0 translates to "paid beta", I have to remove the FCHD4 preferences line whenever I launch the application or it won't launch. Amazing.
3. Worst of all, the two attributes above ("real" AVCHD support and new-version-stability) are how I persuaded my self to upgrade to the meager pack of new attributes in FCHD4. Given the $100 price and the disappointment to deliver on Apple's part, this is competently my worst software purchase this year.

I've been an Apple addict since my primarily Mac Classic in '89. I own and use XP machines because work, not a problem, but I prefer to use Apple stuff when I can. I own or have owned Ipods, Ibooks, Powerbooks (including 540, 5300, and 2 abundant G3s), Power Macs (8600, G3, G4 and G5 towers), a Mac Mini, just about all but a Newton and an iPhone. I've had huge luck with my Apple equipments through the years and persist to rely on their machines because work. With the advent of the Intel Macs, I might run Windows using Parallels so I can use those programs I need that are only accessible on XP and obtain the best of both worlds. When I saw photos of this keyboard prior to release, I was almost drooling with enthusiasm. The plan looked neat, lovely, and pocket sized. And there's no number keypad! Awesome! I never, still use the number keypad, and the additional distance to my mouse just adds strain to my wrist. I lately have an old Logitech wireless keyboard with a detachable number pad. I opened up it and threw it somewhere else. But I wanted a real Apple keyboard with all the correct key mappings, etc., so I purchased the new Apple wireless keyboard almost when it was released. I had anticipated something with the sense of my MacBook Pro. Nope. Anyone remember IPM's PC jr enjoys the 80's? It had what was called a "chicklet" keyboard at the time. Rubber keys with very bad action, challenging to tell if the the key was pressed by sense alone. Very awkward and flimsy belief. In short, a usability nightmare. IBM was mocked and shamed into replacing the keyboard.
Apple made up our minds to resurrect this plan mistake because 2007. It's terrible. It feels terrible. It doesn't also sense like a keyboard to me. After hours trying to use it, I was typing at half the speed I normally do and my hands and wrists hurt. It looks lovely, so I wanted to keep it, but I had to admit that it was cow dung, so I returned it. I'll wait because the next version. They'll probably wise up.
