Customer Review: Great Intro to Leopard

Right up front I have to admit being an Apple Developer at the Select Level. That means I really pay per annum to use the title Developer. Additionally, on the Monday after the Super Bowl 1984 I went drink to a nearby Apple Dealer and plopped drink $2,495 because the primarily 128K Macintosh. Do these provide me special abilities beyond those of other mortals? No. It just means that I have been on board because a twosome of years. Have seen and tried EVERY system that has come drink the road and when System 7 arrived along I waited till a guru by the name of Jay Nelson, the editor-in-basic of Design Tools Monthly, stated it was ready because prime time. Why? Jay has his finger on the pulse of tons of Mac users and he is additionally quite technically savvy. Jay additionally brought on board Lynette Kent, the writer of this book and several other Adobe Photoshop books as a contributing writer. Having read several of her books I made up our minds to see because myself just how well Lynette communicated the basics of the new Leopard operating system. Lynette achieves quite an adorable job of what she achieves best - Communicating at a level that everybody can competently understand. That's what Lynette achieves best. As the introduction to the book stares in the "How to use this Book" under the "Who Needs This Book" -"this book is because a reader who has never used this particular technology or software application." So why am I reading it? Literally a day I am inquired which book I recommend to read to learn about Leopard. There are three authors of technical books whom I have learned to trust and Lynette is one of them. Okay, who are the other two? That's simple. Scott Kelby and Robin Williams. This trio writes very apparently and don't waste words with asides of meaningless drivel and they are able to obtain a point across without side trips of self-aggrandizing blather. I collect the writings of all three. My personal technical library is loaded with the works by all three. Lynette's latest book is about the introduction of Apple's latest Operating System - Leopard. This is the book I recommend because any individual trying a new Apple Computer because the primarily time. Any new user should read this book and sense quite better off with their Macintosh within a twosome of chapters. The book is laid out logically and quite well. The format of using cartoons should help any new user sense at home. Buy this book. It's the initiating of new relationship with a huge pc system. Enjoy.

Customer Review: Shallow struggle with errors

Many of the items obtain properly shallow coverage which isn't really suitable because primarily time MAC OSX users. IPhoto, which is a popular application , has several errors. The IPhoto index entry indicates Page 264 but there is no reference to it on that page. The Photo Booth index page 264 takes you to the table of contents of the next chapter. Sloppy editing, in any case in the Barnes and Noble stock that I perused.
